Yes its true…my own sister said that to me today…it was the most random thing ever. We were at “the strawberry patch” *dun dun dun* and see….my mom usually picks like 500 million buckets and I usually get ten, and lizzy usually gets ten too….but today was REALLY not the best picking, but yet I still got ten, and lizzy only got only like 7, and here we are in front of everyone and is like “Katie, you’re turning into a mother!” And like everyone just starred at me…like seriously….just gave me this questionable look…and I was just like shocked that my own sister would say something as to so random like that….and then she goes “I mean, you’re turning into a mom…” and at this pint my bff (hehe…that comercial is dumb) but no really, my good friend Joelle was just like crying from laughing so hard…and i’m just like confused and embarrassed and lizzy is like laughing crazily and i can’t understand what she’s trying to say…something about my mom, a mother…turning into one…it was all rather confusing. So yeah…I really don’t know why I posted this basically pointless blog…i just wanted to type something about something that happened today I guess….who knows! ha! Anyway….if anyone ever says you’re turning into someone….don’t eat the strawberries!!!!!!!

O’ Child

June 29, 2007

I want to come closer, but you are so distant.
Lately your thoughts are so far.
I want to show you all that you’re missing,
and I’ll meet you right where you are.

O’ Love, I’ve always known you, and,
O’ Love, you’ve always been mine.
O’ Love, I’m only asking you for your life.

Say that you need me. I know what you’re feeling.
You cannot do this alone. I gave you my Word,
and I gave you my life so that you’ll never be on your own.

O’ Love, I’ve always known you, and,
O’ Love, you’ve always been mine.
O’ Love, I’m only asking you for your life.

You’re waiting for this life to be what you want.
(Is this what you wanted?)
You’re waiting for this life to be what you need.
(Is this what you needed?)
You’re waiting for this life…

O’ Love, I’ve always known you, and,
O’ Love, you’ve always been mine.
O’ Child, I’m only asking you for your life.

Lover

June 29, 2007

I am a lover.
I am a shame.
I am appalled by what I fame.
I am a lover, but I’ve had my share
of flirting with the darkest affairs.

You can find me here with my head against the wall
lost in my regrets and every time I fall
You catch me in Your hands.
You circle me like a wedding band.

I have a lover,
faithful and true
cares for me in all that I do.
I have a Lover.
My song You have sung
with love on Your lips and grace on Your tongue.

You can find me here
with my head against the wall,
lost in my regrets and every time I fall –
You catch me in your hands.
You circle me like a wedding band.

A promise from Heaven,
a promise from You,
a promise to love,
I will hold onto.
God of new beginnings,
to You I cry,
“Teach me how to love. Teach me how to die.”
In death there’s forgiveness,
and forgiveness calls on new life!

You can find me here with my head against the wall,
lost in my regrets and every time I fall –
You catch me in your hands. Y
ou circle me like a wedding band.

A Dirt Road.

June 29, 2007

So the other day when I was heading to the strawberry patch to go and pick strawberries for these people, there is this dirt road that you have to drive down. And going down it made me think of something. Now this may be cheesy, but cheese is quite tasty sometimes is it not? So anywho, I kinda think that a dirt road could be kinda like our “path of life” if y’know what I mean. That sounds really lame, but just keep reading. So like, we’re the vehicle on it, driving as fast as the limits allow us, pushing it to the max, and making this dust behind us…and the dust is there just for a short time, then its gone.  And some vehicles you pass make more dust then others, but in the end, it all just fades away. But now, one of the most important questions about driving down this dirt road…where are you headed to? Honestly, where? And what are you doing the whole time you’re heading there? And who are you listening to? Christian radio? Secular radio stations? You know, you listening to the world? or God? I honestly think that music has a huge impact on your life.  Also, the people you pass….are you friendly to them? Or do you just give them a glare and keep driving?  So yeah…just some things that I thought of…I know, like I said before, pretty cheesy, but cheese is tasty.

Knitting.

June 29, 2007

So yeah…today I started knitting again the other day, a wash cloth cuz my modray needs one…and goodness I feel like an old grandma…cuz I found myself sitting in a rocking chair and just knitting my little heart away…haha…but while I was doing that, I was just thinking about that verse where it goes “He knit you together in your mothers womb” and how incredible that really is. I mean, cuz I don’t know if any of you are knitting people out there…but you have to knit each stich, and make it exactly how you want it, ya know? And its just awesome that God made us each in His perfect way. Y’know what I mean? Yeah. So anyway…just thought i’d say that yo. Remember to smile y’all! :)
