Midnight madness or your seventh application?
July 29, 2007
There she was, standing alone in the cave. When a large cat bigger than my hand approached her.
she walked out in to the light where she was scorched bad by the sun. After her seventh application at midnight it was then, that I realized that she too would eat the BBQ sauce off the chicken before it hatched. so with teeth rotting, and skin burning, I placed the green mud upon her nostral only to be wiped away by the smell of hoowling dogs and cat urin. Mmhmh..not ok, not ok.
I grabed the crayon from the box and applied my 8th application, only again to be disturbed by the sound of large rats on the floor.
The point of the story is this myf riends: Don’t eat where you poo…don’t eat…where you poo!
Nothing BUTT love.
Hey There Delilah
July 25, 2007
Hey there Delilah
What’s it like in New York City?
I’m a thousand miles away
But girl tonight you look so pretty
Yes you do
Times Square can’t shine as bright as you
I swear it’s true
Hey there Delilah
Don’t you worry about the distance
I’m right there if you get lonely
Give this song another listen
Close your eyes
Listen to my voice it’s my disguise
I’m by your side
Oh it’s what you do to me
Oh it’s what you do to me
Oh it’s what you do to me
Oh it’s what you do to me
What you do to me
Hey there Delilah
I know times are getting hard
But just believe me girl
Someday I’ll pay the bills with this guitar
We’ll have it good
We’ll have the life we knew we would
My word is good
Hey there Delilah
I’ve got so much left to say
If every simple song I wrote to you
Would take your breath away
I’d write it all
Even more in love with me you’d fall
We’d have it all
Oh it’s what you do to me
Oh it’s what you do to me
Oh it’s what you do to me
Oh it’s what you do to me
A thousand miles seems pretty far
But they’ve got planes and trains and cars
I’d walk to you if I had no other way
Our friends would all make fun of us
and we’ll just laugh along because we know
That none of them have felt this way
Delilah I can promise you
That by the time we get through
The world will never ever be the same
And you’re to blame
Hey there Delilah
You be good and don’t you miss me
Two more years and you’ll be done with school
And I’ll be making history like I do
You’ll know it’s all because of you
We can do whatever we want to
Hey there Delilah here’s to you
This ones for you
Oh it’s what you do to me
Oh it’s what you do to me
Oh it’s what you do to me
Oh it’s what you do to me
What you do to me.

Why do I like this song so much??? I don’t understand it. Its just a dumb love song, yet…i love this song. Haha!

Taking a break.
July 25, 2007
So for the past hours and days…i’ve been cleaning my room. Which you all may be like “Woah, why the heck does it take her such a long time to clean her room? Was it really THAT bad?”
Well, really, its more like getting rid of stuff. Cuz I see all my stuff and i’m like “Hmm…I really don’t need like, any of this stuff”
So i’ve been getting rid of tons of stuff, and cleaning
And now i’m taking a break. And writing about it. ha. fun.
not really, but ok.
So anyway…I should probably get back to cleaning…cuz we are having like our family of 6, plus my mom’s sister and her family of 3 plus her son’s fiancee and her child and maybe my grandma and grandpa and then friday night my Japanese “sister” Ryoko! YAY!
thats alot of people. fun.

SONSHINE FESTIVAL 2007!!!!!!!
July 25, 2007
My oh my.
Sweet potato pie.
SONSHINE ROCKED MY FACE OFF!!!!!!!!!!
Honestly, I’m not gunna lie….Sonshine 2007 was amazing.
Seriously. I’m gunna try to give a little overview of each day, so you can know how amazing Sonshine festival is.
WEDNESDAY: we start our drive up there (which is another whole story in itself, but if you really wanna know about that, ya can just ask me) and so we finally get there, 9am Wednesday morning, our 3 friends, are there already and saved a spot for us, and so we set up our tents, a this canopy thingy and all sorts of stuff like that.
Then my sister and I walk around, and go up by Main stage and are like…all sad that we can’t go backstage, cuz that’s like how it was at Ichthus, and we feel like we’re missing a whole lot cuz you know, we’re not in back. And we also see the hospitality tent and we’re like almost crying. Ha. Not really, but you know, we’re sad cuz we totally got spoiled at Ichthus festival.
Then anyway, its about 6ish and my two great friends Mandi and Joelle finally arrive with my dad and brother and brothers friend. And so we hang out and just do all sorts of random stuff ya know?
Then…our three friends, invited like ten hundred million of their friends, that we honestly, still don’t know who they all were. All I know is that they were rude and sassy and annoying. Ok…it wasn’t ten hundred million, maybe just ten, but still, a lot of people that we don’t know who they are, and they just put all their junk under our canopy and trashed the place out. So anyway, we go down to the end of the canopy where they are, and we sit by them…and they all just get up and move to the other end, so we’re like ok, they don’t like us. That’s weird. And it was weird.
But anyway….we still have a jolly good time just walking around and ya know, random stuff, meeting random people, and all that jazz (ha, I like never say that.) OK, also, earlier in the day, it rained…and so it was kinda cooler the whole day yaknow? VERY unusual for sonshine.
And we head to the tennis courts with the guitar under the stars, and just sing some songs. It was amazing. But then we get ready for bed, and us girls head to our tent, and go in our sleeping bags and fall asleep. It was the worst night of sleep any of us (besides Mandi) have ever gotten. Seriously. In the middle of the night, I woke up FREEZING COLD! Seriously. And we all have just one sleeping bag, which they were kinda light to begin with, but seriously, I was SOOO stinkin cold. I was looking around the tent, to see if there was anything I could put over my other sleeping bag to try to get warmer…I saw some chairs, and that wouldn’t work, I saw a guitar, and that wouldn’t work, and that was all that was in there. So I thought about putting chairs and a guitar over me, but after about 5 minutes of thought, decided to try to sleep again. To no avail.
But oh well…I only got like 5 hours of sleep. But my sister also just about froze to death. She woke up shivering her hiney off…and said she felt nauseous from her body shaking so much for the cold that she sat up and got a bag in case she had to throw up. Then my other friend was just like freezing cold and kept waking up and like trying to get warmer. None of us exceeded in that.
THURSDAY: starts off with me being awakened from my sleep by a noise, I look up and there is my sister, sitting up, and like all out of her pjs and ready for the day. And I looked around and Joelle and Mandi both heard “the noise” whatever it was…it was all random that we woke up at the same time. But I look at my clock and am thinking to meself
“oh my. Its 6:30am…we just went to bed 5 hours ago”
So I asked lizy if she was crazy and if she knew it was 6:30am…but this is how she saw it: I get up, I have my hood from my sheatshirt up, and my hair is like everywhere, and I yell in my morning voice which is like all groggily and you know, early morning, and like in a whisper
“Lizzy! Its 6:30!?!?!?!?! What the heck are you doing??????”
So…we all get up….stupid idea. But we do it anyway. And we go get ready, eat breakfast walk around the convention center (where all the merch and stuff like that is) and see Fireflight there, so we talk with Dawn and wendy and get our picture with them. We also see Mark Alan and talk with him, and then we head over to 2nd stage at 11am.
This band Flowerdagger starts it all off…they were pretty good.
Then Mark alan does, and scott and dan from Mainstay were playing for him, so that was cool and he did the awesomest song ever “All I Have” its this awesome worship song.
Then after him, Fireflight came on. They were really good. I’m a fan of theirs. And Dawn is really cool how she like, interacts with the crowd, yeah.
Then…after their great show…Needtobreathe comes on. They are amazing. Simply amazing. Like honestly…ahh…they were so good. And I only got to talk with Bo and Bear a little bit…but oh well.
Then…the worst concert of them all….FALLING UP! Now…don’t get me wrong, I’m a HUGE fan of Falling Up. But NOT their fans. AGHBALOOGA!!!!!!!! They drive me crazy. Seriously. Ok…so 2nd stage is about 5 feet 6-7 inches high, and so you can barely see over it, you gotta like stand on your tip toes to, ya know? And also, theres like bars blocking you from going under the stage, of course they have these little paths where there are no bars so that like security and those type of people can come up from under the stage…did that make sense? Oh well…anyway, falling up starts off…and they’re good ya know? Although they sucked at Broken Heart…totally off key, and it was just dumb how they did it.
But the rest of the songs were excellent. And they had great energy. But then…the fans started at push pit. Now….this was not a mosh pit, but only a push pit. They just push as hard as they can, and little people who are waiting there all day to see their favorite band SANCTUS REAL get pushed into the bars and almost gets killed…is not cool. Seriously…I just like had my hands braced against the bars, and my feet against them too and just like pushed off of them and was like leaning back, and the crowd was pushing that much, that I didn’t have to do anything. Crazy.
Anyway…I finally live through that…and now by this time its like 4:30 and I’ve been standing at 2nd stage all day and haven’t drunken (haha) anything and what not…and so yeah…a little crazy.
But then SANCTUS REAL TAKES THE STAGE…and blows everyone away.
And this was my 5th Sanctus Real concert, and actually, the first time I saw those guys, was last year at Sonshine. Ha. It’s awesome. Anyway…I’m right up front cuz you know, that’s how it is. And Matt tells us to do this clapping thing, (Us is the crowd) and so we do it, and then he comes over my lizzy mike and I, and totally just like gets this smile like “hey, I remember you guys…” and like claps in betweens our hands on our claps…that didn’t make sense, I would have to show you, but all you can do is guess what I mean.
But yeah…they sang like all the usual songs y’know? But what they did do, which was awesome, was sing Change Me and Benjamin.
It was simply amazing.
Seriously, it was. But yeah…like Matt did some other random waves in the crowd at us and yeah.
It was awesome.
Amazing.
Wonderful concert.
Then we get in line to go and meet ‘em, and do it ( after being told the line was cut off…we ran up and asked people if we could jump in with them, and they were totally nice and said yes!) and we get up there, and all the guys remember us, and thank us for coming out again, and were like ‘good to see you again’ and stuff like that. It was great. Also, I was wearing my This Beautiful Republic shirt, and Mark was commenting on it, and telling how they totally grew up with those guys, and like how all the connections they have with them, and like they went to same churches, high schools, dated (no, their sisters dated some of the guys) and stuff like that.
It was awesome. Their show was by far the best show at SONSHINE this whole year!!!!
They are just like the best band ever!
Anyway, after that we head back to the camper for dinner…then realize Skillet is playing like now, so a few people run to that concert, and some of us like Joelle Lizzy and I, stay behind and just chill. Then, we decide to head to the civic center to see if Sanctus Real is just chilling out, and we’d go talk to them.
And low and behold, there was Mark, Dan and Pete…all just standing around so we started talking to Mark about their old indie albums, and ebay and The Police, their families traveling on the road with them, and just all that stuff, then Joelle gives lizzy this idea, and she voices it: Lizzy: “Hey Mark, what do you do with your wrist bands when you’re done with them?” Mark: “I usually just throw them away. Why? Did you want it? Us in unison: “for real? Really?” (stuff like that ya know?) Mark: yeah…here you go. Us: thank you SOO much!
NOTE: all normal Sonshine festival goers get a blue wristband (the colors change every year) and all the backstage people, get a wrist band that is green.
So Joelle goes up to Dan and asks him what he does and he goes: “Do you really wanna know? Jlow: yeah Dan: I give it to you. And he takes it off and gives it to her. Then, we’re just like thanking them, and freaking out and everything like that, and then we see Pete head out…and Mark just said a little while ago, that they were leaving in a few minutes…so we go chasing after Pete, and he leads us to their van which is just parked like where anyone can go, and chris see’s me and like does a wave and motions me/us over, and so we go over there, and when we’re heading over there, we see Pete walk into their little trailer that the van is pulling, and he (chris) goes “watch this” and closes the door on Pete. Then like 30 seconds later he’s like “you guys should knock” so Joelle goes up and knocks, and Pete opens the door and is just standing there with this confused/hi face on, holding a shirt in his hand (don’t worry! He still had his shirt on, he was just holding another shirt in his hand) so then we ask him what he does for his wrist band, and hes like hmm…do you want it? So he ripped it off, and then wrote something on the inside of it and signed his name (the others just signed their name) and he goes
“who doesn’t have one yet?”
and I’m like “I don’t”
so I get it from him, and read the note, and this is what it says
“don’t get in trouble. Pete”
It was great.
So then we ask Chris the same question, and he’s like” “I’ll give it to you guys” and so he trys to rip it off, but he can’t, and he’s like “I’m too weak…” and it was just like hilarious, cuz he seriously couldn’t. haha.
Then we ask Matt, and he gives us his, and yeah.
We freak out.
Also…very important thing here.
When you open the door to SR’s trailer….right smack dab on the door in the inside is a Club 3 Degrees sticker.
It’s the most amazing thing. Ha.
So anyway…Sanctus Real swears us to secrecy not to tell anyone that it was them who gave us the wrist bands, and Pete goes “tell them it was Relient K” haha.
So Sanctus pulls away, and we’re left with backstage passes in our pockets.
So anyway…David Crowder is playing now on Mainstage and us four girls are seriously FREAKING OUT!
We kept on having to feel our pockets to make sure that those green wristbands were really seriously there. So we went to David Crowder’s show to try to find Mike my brother, cuz we were going to give the extra wrist band to him, and we search and search and couldn’t find him. So we go back to tent city (yes, that really is what its called. Cuz there are like over 20,000 people camping out in acres and acres of land) and we get this black electrical tape that I brought along (Yes, I did bring black electrical tape along, cuz I had this little tiny tinny hope that maybe somehow I would get some artists wrist band, and BAM! It happened…my most favorite band in the whole entire face of the earth, just gave me their wrist band.
Wow.
So…we tape ‘em up as well as we can. now…this sounds awfully dishonest, but hey…our friends gave us backstage passes…what’s wrong with using them?
So by this time David Crowder is done, and we’re like still trying to find my brother, but we knew that he didn’t want to stay for Toby Mac or Newsboys, so we’re like “lets try these things out” but first we each got our sweat shirts on, so you couldn’t see the blue wristband…only the green one. So…we walk up to where the security guards are for backstage, and we show them are wrists and….the nod.
We’re in.
And now…if I hadn’t been down at Ichthus, I would have had NO idea what to expect and what to do, and how to blend in and that stuff. So lizzy and I quickly explained the rules to Mandi and Joelle about being backstage. No pointing to them, no being an annoying fan, no talking to them, unless they talk to you first (which is a stupid rule…but has to be followed) and just stuff like that.
So we’re back there, and see the hospitability tent, we see random people walking around, and then we go to the front…in front of all the crowds and everything, so we’re like RIGHT next to the stage, and we watch Toby Mac. And yeah…great show for sure.
Then Newsboys are to come on next, and I’ve already seen them in concert, and not really a fan of newsboys yaknow? So anyway, lizzy and I walked around the convention center and Mandi and Joelle stayed. They had a great time, so did we. Ha. But no, then more stuff happened. And we went to sleep.
FRIDAY: Friday starts off by us waking up at 8:30am. Ahh…much better than 6:30am. For sure! So we eat breakfast, Mandi has nice five course breakfast. Haha, but no…we eat breakfast, and head off to morning worship with Breathe Deep.
Once Breathe Deep is done, we listen to The Wedding. Good stuff….the whole day was good.
We were walking around the merch tables and saw this Cool Hand Luke band, and this dude in suspenders (which were very super de duper awesome by the way) just sitting by his table, with like a ton of wild flowers on his table, and so we got to talking to him, and he’s saying how his two most favorite things are birds and flowers. Ahh. But seriously,, then he’s like telling us to come to their concerts (he’s the bass player) and he’s like, “would you girls each like a flower?” and we’re like “For real?” and so he gave us each a flower! Haha…it was awesome though!
So then later on Lightswitch played, and I always forget how good they are! Like I know they’re good, but I always forget how good. And they even did my favorite song “What Does It Take” it was awesome. He goes, “I have a question for you all, (he always says that right when he’s about to play my favorite song) some of you already know this question *looks right at me and smiles* and some of you don’t….What does it take to make you smile?…” and sings the best song of theirs ever. And my friends and I did like handmotions/swaying to their song…which I just forgot what it was called, but it was something like Angels Watching Over Me. Which was super fun to do! ![]()
Then they ended their concert with “We Are Strong” and we all joined hands and sang it out, and ahh…what a great time. Then I was gunna talk to the guys afterwards, but there was like ten million people surrounding them, so I really didn’t get to, but I did a little bit with Abe, but then my mom comes in and starts asking all these randomly weird questions, and then my sister and two friends, who were traders and went to the Eleventyseven concert, came back and had to tell me their experiences. And so that was the end of talking with Lightswitch. Until later when I ran into them (not literally) right when they were leaving, so we had a nice little chat there.
But I felt kinda bad that I didn’t talk to them that much, but next time.
Anyway, Jeremy Camp was on that night, and we went backstage/infront of the huge crowd for his concert, and wow…I always forget how good Jeremy camp is live, and how much energy he has. And like he did “Stay” and “take my life” and all these ones that were like…crazy awesome!
And then Casting Crowns was going to go on, but we didn’t really wanna hear them all too terribly bad, so we just went and took a shower (no lines! Yay!) and then….we happened to be up at 1:30am still…and us four girls walked out by this line of porta potties and we see these three people just sitting on the curb, and we’re like “having fun watching?” and they’re like “yes, actually tons of fun” and so we’re like “hmm…we’ll join you” so we sit down with them, and have a blast! It starts off by people heading to them, and we’re like “ooh…no! not that one!” and people would go “oh, what about this one?’ and walk to the next porta pottie over and we’re like “yeah!”.
HAHA! It was SOO funny! Then one guy didn’t listen to us, and he came out, and was like “oh, I should have listened to you guys. It smelled bad!” haha…it was toofunny! Cuz we seriously had no idea. It was great. Then this dude called us all over, and we made this little bridge, ya know, where people put their hands together,? Well, we did this to one porta pottie, and the we wait, like I think there was 10 of us now.
And we all made this little bridge, and the guy opened the door, then closed it real quick…then ran out with his hands in the air and we all cheered him on! It was SOO funny! We did that for well over a hour, then we decided that we better call it a night since it was 3:00am.
Saturday: I wake up with the sadness of knowing that today is the last day.
But today was pretty much amazing like every other day.
We walked around the merch tables, talked with artists, went to some awesome concerts. But some of them would have been Write This Down, and Remedy Drive. Both of which were amazing, and we actually went on Main Stage for their concerts…or at least Joelle and I did for both.
The others went into the crowd for Remedy Drive. But before Remedy drive starts, Joelle and I wanted to check out the hospitality tent, so we do, and we meet the founder of Sonshine. Mr. Anderson.
He was really kinda nice, but questioned us about our wristbands and we’re like “well, we’re friends with some of the bands” and he’s like “Which bands?” and see, we were sworn to secrecy by Sanctus Real, so we’re like “RunkidRun, Breathe Deep, Sanctus Real…” and said one other band, but I forgot, but we really are friends with all of them. Cuz Breathe Deep goes to The Edge a lot, and RunKidRun’s bass player goes to Eagle Brook and Brinks, but yeah, anyway, we each get a powerade, and are just sitting at this table, when this random dude comes up to me, and is like “can I ask you what time it is?” so I look down at my watch, and realize that I was still timing Mandi’s and my walk, and I’m like
“haha…jk. Um….1:41pm”
then he goes “Oh, not 26 minutes? Haha…thanks!”
and later on, I realized that he was the lead singer for Article One.
Then, when Joelle and I are still sitting there, we see Jon Formen’s brother come walk by, and we’re kinda smiling and looking at him, and he looks right at us and gives us this nice big smile. Ha. It made me smile even more, it was great.
But ok embarrassing little story here. So Remedy Drive was setting up on Main Stage and Joelle and I are on stage like in the back, and so yeah, the Remedy drive guys are one stage setting up, and then the guy from Children 18:3 was on there too, and Joelle and I are just enjoying ourselves, and all of a sudden, we realize that everyone is off stage. We are the only two people ON MAIN STAGE!! And like the whole crowd is just staring at us, so I whisper frantically to Joelle “Joelle, we’re the only people on stage. Run!” So we run off stage, and then…laugh. Yes. Laugh. It was quite funny.
But anyway, after a few minutes Remedy Drive goes on, and they start playing, and the guy from Children 18:3 goes on stage and watches them, and so Joelle and I are like “hmm….lets go back onstage, but not like dead center where we were last time” so we head off to the left side by the sound thingy, and we go up there and are watching them play a GREAT show.
Seriously those guys have so much energy onstage. Its great. But anyway, I then look around, and realize I’m standing next to all of the guys from Switchfoot. It was great. So anyway, Remedy Drive has like one last song, and Joelle and I get off stage and start heading somewhere. Can’t quite remember.
Then later on that day, we go to Jackson Water’s concert…I tell ya, those guys are amazing. Especially their song “Center of Attention” and seriously, every time he sings it, he looks right at my sister and I and smiles. Probably because we know all of the words and are like the only people singing along, but whatever. Hehe.
Then Everyday Sunday takes the stage. And they were super good. But funny thing is that Trey, the lead singer drank all of his water (well, half spilled it) and so he was really thirsty, and Joelle, Lizzy and I all happen to have our water on stage, and we’re like right in front of him, so he asks me “Is it ok if I drink your water?” and I’m like “yeah, that’s fine” and he’s like “I’ll get you another one” and so the bass player runs off stage and gets another bottle of water and hands it to me, which I hand to Joelle since it was actually her water, but Trey thought it was mine. Then he’s like singing some more, and almost kicks me, cuz he does this random kick in the air. Haha. It was great. And then we see that he drank all of that water, so I put this Cub Foods water up there, and he sees it and goes “Are we starting a donation of water? Thanks!” and drinks it, then is like “Give it up for Cub Foods water” haha…it was hilarious.
But so yeah…great concert. And Dizmas was right after them, but me, being stupid, didn’t’ stay for them. But oh well…there’s always another time. So anyway…the day rolls on, we go to more amazing concerts. And then, we head back to tent city, and this boy is there that is kind of in our group, and we’re like “Hmm…we should make you emo” So yes….Joelle puts eye liner on him, and we do his hair all crazy and BAM, emo. Or at least kind of emo looking. Then, we decided. Hmm…why not put really thick eyeliner on us? So that’s what we do. We put it on pretty thick and head out. Head out to Relient K. They put on a great show.
Then Switchfoot. Ahhh…they always put on a great show. And they had this “picture moment” haha…that was great too. So anyway…after Switchfoot…Sonshine is over. Death. Sadness. Ahh…it was really sad, Stage Two was already taken done.
Nothing left of it. Ahh…so sad. But anyway, its like 11:45pm, and we walk in the convention center where all the merch tables are and everything. And everything is basically taken down, all the bands tables for sure except: Everyday Sunday’s. Ha. It was great. And all the guys were there.
So we head over and talk with them for a long time, ok not that long, only until 12am…then they like make us buy their cd. Haha…not really make us, but more so convince us. So yeah…then anyway, they take their table down, and we head to the HM stage, which was really random, but we do anyway, and hang out in there for a while, and Joelle, lizzy and I are all just standing in this little circle type deal, and this girl comes up to Joelle and asks her “do you smoke?” and Joelle is like “what? No” then she goes “So you don’t have a cigarette?” and Joelle is like “why would I?” then the girl “Well I was asking if you smoked…” and she goes on and on…and like freaks out at Joelle cuz she doesn’t smoke. It was really weird.
Anyway…enough said and done, we head back to tent city…and by this time its like 1am, and we see two guys from Hyland just sitting there with their acoustic guitars putting on a little acoustic concert, so we sit down and listen/watch them, and they were amazing. Jon and Matt are their names. And so we were there for like 15 minutes when my sisters phone rings, so she answers it, and my mom is like “I want you girls in bed!” so we’re like, ok, we’ll do that. So we go back to our tent, grab our tooth brushes, and they’re like, we’re gunna head over, and I’m like “ok, I’m just gunna put my pjs on” so they head over, and while I’m in the “changing room” I hear this coughing and hacking and I’m like “hmm…is that matthew coughing?” then I hear…BLAHHHHHHH *splat splat splat*
Yes. Someone had barfed.
Oh my goodness.
I just about lost it there. Cuz ok, when I hear someone barf or see it or smell it…I seriously almost throw up myself…I do NOT do good with throwup. So anyway, I hear mandi (cuz she went to bed right away) say “D, are you ok?” one of the guys on our trip was barfing like RIGHT next to our tent. And ok, so I didn’t want to be mean or anything, but I just ran out of there.
Cuz honestly, I was about to throw up myself.
So anyway, I find the girls at the water place, and I tell them that D is throwing up, and we all are like “snap. We can’t go back now” cuz all of us would seriously throw up. So anyway, we brush our teeth, and go and listen to the acoustic Hyland concert for a little longer, or actually until like 2am. Then they pack it up. So we go and walk around, not wanting to go back to our tent site, knowing that someone is puking. So anyway, we see this group of people playing “Wah!” and we’re like “hey, can we play too?” so we join in, playing wah!
But since there were a lot of people, it was getting confusing, so we said that you have to lunge forward when you do the wah-ing. So these kids were practicing lunging, like really easy stuff right? But then we see this kid fall over, and hold his knee and is like “ouch” and we all thought he just scrapped his knee against the curb or something, but then we all look and BAM! His knee was dislocated.
Oh my goodness.
Seriously, his knee went out to the left, it was soo gross looking, and the poor little boy was only like 14, and his parents weren’t there, only his youth pastor. So they called the emergency people over, and they did their stuff. And he had to be taken to the hospital, so that’s what happened. And so we meet some new friends, cuz everyone is asking what happened, so we tell them and what not. But then later, at like 2:45am, we are just kinda walking around, and run into one of our other friends, and start talking to him for a while about m2. getting our anger out. we had some anger issues that weekend. Ha.
But no, then these people invite us to play “stars” I think it was called. And we’re like “What’s that?” and they told us to watch, and this is how it went. You look up at the stars, and spin as fast as you can. Then someone comes over and pushes you, and you fall.
That was it.
So we nicely declined their offer to play and went on our way. And when we were going on our way, we ran into the guys from Hyland packing up their van. So we start talking to them for like a ½ and hour, and Jon (the lead singer) was super impressed with our knowledge of local bands/music. He even gave us this little quiz, which we passed with flying colors! Haha. So anyway, the guys kind of had some bad language tho.
Naughty naughty.
Anyway, we were like going crazy since it was like 3:30am now, and so we’re like, “we need to head back to puke city” and so we do. And actually D is all done puking, so good news!
But then we like lay down in our tent…and we smell this sasty (sick and nasty) smell, and then we laugh, cuz seriously, we were finding everything funny. It was so weird. Seriously, we just laughed at everything, and anything and about the dumbest things, people probably thought we were on drugs…haha. No. But anyway…we finally drift off to sleep at like 3:45ish…I think. Not ever sure.
Sunday morning: We wake up…not really sure what time, I think like 8am.
So we take down all our tents, fold them up, pack everything up and put them all in the different vans and so our whole tent site is cleared.
Yay…but yet sadness.
And we see D, and he looks TERRIBLE. First off…he still has his eyeliner on, and his hair is messed up, his face is pale, he has puke on his shirt…wow…terrible. But we ask him how he’s doing and he says better, so then we all head over to “the camper” for breakfast, and we get there and my parents hear the story of what happened to D and they called the doctors people, and they said he was dehydrated so they put a IV in him and gave him some stuff. But while they were doing this, and when we were done with breakfast, we just randomly walk around, waving at all the cars leaving, yelling “See you next year!” and all sorts of stuff like that. All friendly tho. No mean stuff.
And we were walking back, when we see these two dudes, (one with his shirt off…nasty!) and the other one putting their tent away, and he, Sam, with the shirt off, just starts talking to us about his accident he just had on his roller blades and like all this stuff and we find out that him and Adam are from Canada (yes, we learned their names!) and Sam kinda had a accent, like mainly on “out”, but anyway, he’s kinda full of himself, I mean he’s nice, but kinda full of himself, y’know what I mean? And he’s like saying all these things he does and what not, and we just see Adam sitting there, and we’re like “Do you have an accent too?” and he says all shyly “Well, I dunno if you’d say I have one” in the most beautiful Canadian accent you will ever hear. And we’re all like “Ahhh…you do! You have one even more than Sam!” and so we’re talking with him and we’re like asking him if he does any sports and he’s like *in an accent just like Pippens from Lord of the Rings, and he looked just like him too, except taller* “not really, I just ride horses” and we’re all like “Ahhh…you ride horses???” and so we get to talking about that, then of course, Sam takes over the conversation again, and we see Adam in the background just kinda handling this camera, and he asks all shyly “can I get a picture of you all?” and so we do with sam in the picture, and he has his shirt off and puts his arm around me….eww! it was gross. But yeah..it was really kinda random, but it was so funny.
You look over at Joelle and lizzy and they’re like head over heels for Adam…seriously. Haha.
But then Sam asks if he can take a picture with his camera and while he’s getting it, Joelle sees him spray himself with some random spray. Goodness. But while he’s getting it, Adam is showing us how they drove here on the map and then he shows us his camera and his horse, and we’re looking on his camera, and he just has pictures of like birds, deer, his horse, rabbits and all these animals. It was cool. But anyway…we get another picture with Sams camera now, except Adam was never in any pictures. It was weird.
But anyway….we head back to “the camper” and D got his stuff and everything, and we pack up and drive home.
And sleep.
And laugh.
And smile.
And sleep.
