Summer Oh Eight!
June 25, 2008
SO….i haven’t posted a blog in weeks. Little update on my wonderful summer…
June 8-13 I was at Worldview Academy Leadership Camp…

It was such a wonderful week! I had two super cool small group leaders and a crazy small group ! it was tons of JOY! I learned so much, and on Thursday we went out witnessing, asking THE “4 killer questions”, which was really hard at first, cuz so many people just yelled at us, and got angry at us, and it was hard. But then others would listen to us, ….for a while. at least we planted that little seed of doubt in them, like what if i am wrong and i die? what were those people talking about at the como park about this Jesus fellow, and love and grace and mercy….
but overall the week was fantastic! it wasn’t the best week of my life, like they promised..ha..but it was really good. Like there were so many great moments and so much laughter and joy and no angry..it was so fantastic! And we had worship everynight and amazing quiet times in the mornings, and i got so much closer to God. It was a wonderful week!

and that is my “mini cluster”. =)
Then…the day I got home from there, I went to my best friends house, and had dinner with her family, and her brother’s girlfriends family. I tell ya..it was a crazy loud awesome night!! We also had interpertive dancing…ha! Both of those families are awesome people!!
Then that Sunday was Father’s day, so we went to church and then to Stillwater to spend time with my father!

That’s us children…minus Matthew…he was sick that day :/
But it was quite a joyous time yes.
Nextly I went into a interview at Big Apple Bagels

And this was my first interview ever…so it was kinda like AH! but no worries, because just in my talking with the bosses, i found out that they are Christians and super nice people. Then…later that day, our good friend Steph invited liz and i to go on a hike down in Taylors Falls…so we did and we had quite a joyful time! yeah!

Yup. thats us, and the river behind us and the rocks that we climbed.
Then we went out for ice cream afterwards and hiked down this like fish cemetary, and it was really weird, and we all got like 200 mosquito bites and liz and steph slidded down a small riverfall on their butts. ha…it was great. but the water was FRAEEEEEEEEEEEZING cold. indeed. Then we went to karate afterwards and saw our karate family.
The next day, i get a call from Big Apple Bagels telling me that i got the job! YAY! =]
Then that night we had a party at my bff’s house. hehe…and that was super jolly! wooooooot woooot. Ulitmate, bonfire, smores, walks, talks, laughs, …it was great!
Thursday rolls around and we go SWING DANCING that night!!

That was such a lovely time!! Dancing with random strangers…haha…but really, it was quite jolly esp since a ton of our friends came, and so we didn’t have to dance with so many random guys…but it was great!
Then, Friday at NOON, we meet all our black belts from CPK at taco bell, and we carpool up to mr.l’s house in Chisholm, the 4 hour drive up was quite lovely then seeing around Chisholm, the bridge of peace, the iorn man, the Range Martial Arts school, and we went to Hibbings to drop one of the black belts from RMA off, cuz he was with us, and we drove RIGHT past Bob Dylan’s house. So on the way back we stopped and took a picture and what not.
We had a lovely evening playing volley ball, meeting mr. l’s parents, eating dinner, getting eaten alive by mosquitoes, watching “over the hedge” [great movie] then heading off to sleep to wake up early the next morning to homemade blueberry pankcakes [very tasty] then headed to the range school to do some Ki Gong for about an hour, then work out intensely with the range cho dan bows then work out with the gups, and THEN eating a 6ft long SUB with all the peoples and lastly the black belts working out all together…it was an intense day, but a lovely one.
we started our ride home [just 5 of us, cuz the other people stayed another night] and got back just in time for our friend’s open house party. twas really quite a lovely weekend.
Woke up next morning, played at church, then went to another grad party.
Monday rolled around and I started my FIRST day at work!

It was absolutely lovely. I worked tuesday too,
and now today….
i have a cold.
blah.
But that is basically how my awesome summer is going.
ALthough…i found out that July 25th is gunna be a terrible, terrible day..

i get my WISDOM TEETH PULLED! Ahhhhhhhhhhhh….maybe i’ll just so happen to dissapear that day…somewhere to like…somewhere.
ha..but honestly…its gunna be crap.
Anyway…you all have a lovely day.
peaceandlove

Positive Post Tuesday
June 3, 2008
All through 10th grade and 11th grade this lady has been there for me.
All the quiz trips to LaCrosse, all the funny and serious moments of youth group, she’s there.
Her heart for God is amazing, she has a quiet spirit and just a joy all about her.
She’s so kind, and won’t judge you, she’s awesome.
Who is she?
She’s one of my youth leaders, Pam. ![]()
I’ve known her for a long time, but not until 10th grade when she became my small group leader did we really start to talk and get to know each other.
Now that school is out, and youth group is over with for the summer, i’m not going to see her much, but at this open house the other day I did see her and she’s so awesome, we start talking and she asks me about life, and she doesn’t just ask to be nice, she really cares.
She’s totally awesome, and sadly, i don’t have a picture of her. Its crazy, you think I would, but alas, i don’t.
I WILL get one of her soon though, so you can all see how
lovely and kind she is.
She’s Pam.
♥ always

Market Place Foods
June 1, 2008
We went to Market Place Foods today for our mothers…
We had British accents.
We had a list.
They were out of the MOTZERELLA CHEESE that was one sale…so we asked their worker boys, in our British accents…they got all flustered by our accents and turned red in the face and went and looked…they brought us out the right amount that we needed.
Then we found out we need more, so we asked again, except lizzy this time was like
lizzy: “Excuse me” *in british accent*
guy: *looks up from putting bags of frozen foods in the freezer section*
lizzy: “what is your name?” *still in british accent*
guy: “my name? grashandrew *mumbled*”
lizzy: “grashandrew?”
guy: “andrew”
lizzy: “oh andrew! well thank you so very much for going through the hassel of getting our cheese.”
andrew: *his face goes red. gets shy smile* “oh, it was no problem”
so by the time we checked out of their we had:

26 cans of lemon-aid + 30 packages of stir fry + MOTZERELLA CHEESE + 64 packages of cheese (32lbs of cheese)+
12 cups of butter= $127 of SAVINGS. Yeahya!!! =)
